Manu Bhaker Wins Gold In ISSF Pistol World Cup

Manu Bhaker exhibited an exemplary performance to claim the 10m air pistol gold, thus delivering a remarkable result for India in the World Cup in Rio de Janeiro.

She and Saurabh Chaudhary won gold in the mixed 10m air pistol.

In the same event, Yashaswini Deswal and Abhishek Verma won silver, this helping India picked up the maximum possible medals on the final day of the tournament.

In the air rifle event, World number one, Apurvi Chandela partnered with Deepak Kumar to win their fourth gold for India in the mixed air rifle event.

Thus, India has had top finish across all four ISSF World Cup stages in 2019 including the lone junior world cup.

Anjum Moudgil and Divyansh Singh Panwar won bronze as India continued in rifle and pistol shooting. They had won top medals earlier.

Manu Bhaker and Saurabh Chaudhary prevailed over Yashaswini Singh Deswal and Abhishek Verma 17-15 in a nerve-wracking contest in the air pistol finals competition.
