NEW DELHI: ICC announced that the T20 World Cup has been postponed to 2021 and it was originally scheduled to be held in Australia later this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
International Cricket Council's (ICC) decision finally ends the suspense of the fate of the tournament.
However, concerns have been raised regarding veteran players such as MS Dhoni, Chris Gayle, AB de Villiers, Lasith Malinga, and Dale Steyn.
MS Dhoni's involvement in the team has been inactive since 2019 WorldCup where India lost to New Zealand in the semi-finals.
MSK Prasad, the former chief selector of the BCCI, had said earlier that the team had moved on from the former skipper.
However, his involvement in the T20 World Cup will be based on his performance in the IPL which is unlikely to happen. Dhoni will also turn 40 next year.
