The Delhi court will be hearing social activist and lawyer Nikita Jacob's plea seeking anticipatory bail in the toolkit case on March 9. Pune-based engineer Shantanu Muluk's plea will also be heard on the same day. The court gave time to the police to file a response on the case.
Police arrested Nikita Jacob in connection with the Toolkit case. She is accused of helping edit the social media toolkit on the farmer's protest. The police have also linked the toolkit with the Republic Day clashes in the Capital during the farmers' tractor rally. The Farmer’s protest against three new laws has been going on for three months.
The toolkit was initially published by Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg. She has been vocal about her support for farmers' agitation at the Delhi border.
