Users are supposed to follow the manual and only a nasal swab will be required for this rapid antigen testing.

ICMR cautioned people against indiscriminate home testing using Rapid Antigen Tests (RATs) because priority should be given to those with symptoms.

Home testing mobile app, comprehensive guide of the testing procedure, is available in Google Play Store and Apple store. It will provide a positive or negative test result.

"Data in the app of your mobile phone will be centrally captured in a secure server which is connected with the ICMR COVID-19 testing portal, where all data will be eventually stored," according to the advisory.
