Rahul Gandhi, the senior member of the Congress, resumed the Bharat Jodo Yatra on Wednesday from Madavana, not far from here, after paying floral tribute to Sree Narayana Guru, a social reformer.
The Wayanad MP started the 14th day of the yatra with Congress leader Sachin Pilot among others by his side.
He posted on Twitter, “An inspiring start to the day. Offered my tributes to the great spiritual leader, philosopher and social reformer, Sree Narayana Guru whose teachings of equality are key to the idea of #BharatJodoYatra.”
He also shared a picture of him praying in front of the Sri Narayana Guru portrait along with the other leaders of the Congress.
The second leg of the yatra will start from the Kalamassery Municipal Junction at 5 pm and will conclude at the Paravoor Junction.
The next state that will be covered after Kerala is Karnataka on October 1.
