The art community has taken a blow due to the pandemic's social distancing measures but artists have taken the show online.
An app called Playground Sessions invited aspiring pianists to learn the song 'You Raise Me Up' for free and people responded plenty. The session became the world's largest virtual recital. The app posted the video of everyone playing together this month. The musicians spent 30 days learning the song before the performance.
Playground Sessions chief executive Chris Vance said that the project was more than just bringing musicians together but learning. Over 7000 people from 52 countries became part of the learning process and about 1000 of them became part of the final video.
