LOS ANGELES, US: The Twitter accounts of high profile figures such as Barack Obama, Joe Biden, Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, and all have been hacked to offer fake bitcoin deals in one of the most pronounced security breaches.
Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey described the situation as a tough day at work.

We’re diagnosing and will share everything we can when we have a more complete understanding of exactly what happened.
💙 to our teammates working hard to make this right.
Microblogging profiles of former president Barack Obama, Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, musician Kanye West, and both Uber and Apple also posted tweets instructing people to send cryptocurrency to the same bitcoin address, which was later deleted.

Cybersecurity expert Rachel Tobac, the CEO of SocialProof Security, said that this is the largest cyber attack she has ever witnessed.
Other experts stated that this type of breach, where influential accounts are controlled, can lead to devastating effects if used for something more dangerous than to make money.
